Sonya Timms

Sonya leads philanthropy at the Bridge Institute, building partnerships with the philanthropists and foundations who back its missions and its work to change whole systems.

She brings almost thirty years of experience in major giving and philanthropy. She has been Head of Philanthropy at Comic Relief and Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships at Marie Curie, and has led organisations through change as interim Executive Director of Magic Bus UK and as interim philanthropy lead for charities including the National Literacy Trust. Through her consultancy, The Philanthropy Consultant, she advises growing charities on building lasting relationships with major donors.

Sonya chairs the charity Acts of Hope, is a trustee of the Quintessentially Foundation, and previously chaired the Institute of Fundraising's Major Donor Special Interest Group.
