Jane Sassienie is a director of Bridge Partnership and a co-founder of the Bridge Institute. She has been working in the field of leadership and system evolution for more than 25 years and in Bridge for more than 20 years. She lives in London.
Jane develops many of the Bridge approaches and frameworks and trains the Bridge consultants and coaches, associates and the consultants of partner organisations. This understanding of how to develop transformational consultants has also evolved Bridge’s practice of equipping organisations and social systems with the capabilities they need to sustain any change they engage in.
Jane is an organisational psychologist and holds a masters in change at individual, group and organisation level. She is also a transpersonal psychotherapist. Her interest in human systems supported by extensive study and practice in organisational constellations and systems theory give her some unique insights into what is going on in organisational and social cultures and how to shift them. Jane has designed complex leadership programmes in the commercial sector and programmes within the Bridge Institute that bring together government, business and civil society in partnership to tackle some of the most difficult societal challenges. Currently she is working with leaders focussed on climate solutions, anti-human trafficking and settling of refugees.
Jane’s corporate work for Bridge has taken her to the top levels of multiple industries, particularly, retail, FMCG, finance, pharmaceuticals and professional services. Jane leads research for Bridge and launched her latest paper in January 2023. Called ‘How did she get there?’ it surfaces the practices of women who have reached senior positions in dominantly patriarchal cultures and how organisations need to change to make that possible more often.
As a coach Jane works well with leaders at the top of organisations who have big strategic challenges, women leaders who need to lead change and to navigate organisations not originally designed for them and leaders in transition to enterprise leadership. Relevant role: My role is to facilitate during the breakthrough event, primarily holding the Leadership elements.
