Last month, more than 100 leaders and changemakers gathered in London for the Safe Life Mission Summit 2025 - a three-day breakthrough event dedicated to one of the city’s most urgent questions:
How might society, business and government come together to tackle violence affecting young people and create clear pathways to opportunity?

The summit brought together an extraordinary coalition of voices from across the system: national and local government, business, academia, community organisations, charities, civil society and, importantly, young changemakers themselves. Using the Bridge Institute’s Spiral Breakthrough Methodology, participants worked collaboratively across eight critical systemic levers shaping the future of youth safety:
- Pathways to Prosperity
- A Better Housing Response
- Trust & Confidence in the Public Sector
- Leveraging Social Media
- An Inspired Life
- Changemakers & Mentors
- Powerful Parenting
- Entrepreneurship
Over three days, cross-sector teams generated bold, practical and human-centred solutions - rooted in empathy, trust and genuine partnership. What emerged was not simply a set of ideas, but a renewed sense of collective purpose and a shared belief that systemic change is possible when the whole system works together.

We extend our gratitude to all participants for their time, insight and energy.
A special thank you goes to our partners: London’s Violence Reduction Unit, Bridge Partnership, The Future Governance Forum (FGF), Amyas Valora Foundation and X-Press Feeders, as well as our advanced changemakers, who continue to guide this mission with courage, wisdom and care. Our young changemakers also played a crucial role - showing what it looks like when young people lead the change they want to see in their communities.
The summit marks a beginning, not an end. As we now move into implementation across London, we are demonstrating that when trust, purpose-driven leadership and all parts of society meet, a safer future for young people becomes possible. We welcome new partners who wish to join us in turning these breakthroughs into action.

With deep appreciation to the team members who shaped this work:
Lib Peck, Simon McKenzie (Mac), Tina Oldham, Peter Blackwell, Glenn Pearson, Barney Hill, Cathy Manning, Shaun Blackwood, Jane Sassienie, Sophie Ireland, Ellie Sandover, and all of Bridge Partnership’s facilitators.
